ESL One Cologne 2020 EU: OG and Vitality Secure Last Spots in Playoffs
The group stage of ESL One Cologne 2020 Europe has concluded with OG and Team Vitality securing the last places in the playoffs stage. In the final matches of their groups OG defeated MAD Lions (2-0), while Team Vitality outplayed FaZe Clan (2-0).
The playoffs stage will follow single-elimination format and begin today on August 27th with the matches between Complexity Gaming and Heroic (2:00 PM UK Time), as well as Sprout and Team Vitality (5:30 PM). The other two quarterfinals will be played tomorrow on August 28th and will feature G2 Esports competing with OG (2:00 PM) and Astralis taking on Ninjas in Pyjamas (5:30 PM). The playoffs will conclude on August 30th with a best-of-five series.
The European division of ESL One 2020 Cologne features a $325,000 prize pool, with $150,000 going to the winner. The event is also ongoing in North America, Oceania and Asia.
