Florida Mutineers Claim Victory at 2020 Call of Duty League Dallas Home Series
This weekend concluded a $100,000 online event Dallas Home Series, which is part of Call of Duty League. In the tournament’s grand finals Florida Mutineers outplayed Minnesota RØKKR, winning their first event in this season and claiming $50,000 in prize money.
Florida Mutineers advanced to the playoffs from Group A, where they placed 2nd – in the first series they lost to Toronto Ultra (2-3), however later outplayed Los Angeles Guerrillas (3-1) and avenged Toronto Ultra (3-1). In the semifinals the team managed to beat Chicago Huntsmen (3-1), while the final series concluded with the 3-1 in their favour.

The victory at Call of Duty Dallas Home Series launched Florida Mutineers to the fourth place of the league’s regular season, where they are neighbouring with Dallas Empire and Minnesota Røkkr, all of them having 100 points. The first place is taken by Chicago Huntsmen, who scored 110 points.

Call of Duty League was announced last October, its inaugural season features a $6,000,000 prize pool. The league launched in January, however in March it transitioned to online due to coronavirus pandemic.
