NiP beat FaZe in Grand Finals of IEM Oakland
The Swedish team Ninjas in Pyjamas defeat their opponents from FaZe Clan in the grand finals of IEM Oakland 2017 and take home $129,000.
Ninjas in Pyjamas placed first in Group A, so their way through the playoffs started in the semifinals where they faced SK Gaming in a Bo3 series. In a close match they defeated the Brazilians with the 2-1 score (16:9 at Overpass; 8:16 at Cache; 16:11 at Inferno). The Grand Final was held in a Bo5 format, and the teams played on all five maps. The fifth deciding game ended in favor of NiP, making them the champions of IEM Season XII: Oakland.
