Ubisoft and ESL have decided to cancel Rainbow Six Pro League Season 11 Finals, which was set to be played on May 16-17th in São Paulo, Brazil, and APAC LAN Finals due to the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus.
The online part of the league will be played as planned – the competition in Europe, North America and Latin America will resume on March 23rd and is expected to continue until April 13th. The associated prize pool of the cancelled events will be redistributed across the top teams of each region.
In the latest week a number of esports events were cancelled, including Dota 2 tournaments ESL One Los Angeles 2020, EPICENTER Major 2020 and OGA Dota PIT Minor, while some of the events were transitioned to online, including CS:GO leagues ESL Pro League and FLASHPOINT Season 1, as well as multiple League of Legends regional leagues such as LEC and LCK.
