Virtus.pro and SK Gaming to play in qualifiers for WESG
Two top-tier CS:GO teams Virtus.pro and SK Gaming registered to take part in the regional qualifiers for WESG 2017 – the largest tournament among national teams.
The qualifiers are divided into two regions (Europe and North & South America), each consisting of many sub-regions. There are some other top-level teams that decided to take part in the tournament, including Cloud9, GODSENT and Fnatic. The Polish local qualifier will start for Virtus.pro on October 9, while SK Gaming will take part in the Brazilian qualifier, which will be held on November 7-9.
The LAN-finals of European Qualifier will be held on November 22-26 in Barcelona, Spain. The teams placed 1-12 will get a share of $279,000 prize pool (depending on the placement) and a slot to Grand Final. The American Grand Final will be played in February 2018, the teams will fight for $202,800 prize pool and 7 tickets to the final stage of WESG 2017.
