ESL One Birmingham: All Six Invites Are Set

Recently announced ESL One Birmingham is shaping up: the organizers of the first Dota 2 major in the UK have sent direct invites to six teams. Among them are two European teams – Virtus.pro and Team Liquid, two Chinese teams – Newbee and Vici Gaming, as well as one team from North America – Evil Geniuses, and one team from Southeast Asia – Mineski. All these teams are in the top-8 of Dota Pro Circuit rankings except for Evil Geniuses, who are sitting at the 9th place with 1335 points.

The other six team will have to make in through the regional qualifiers, which will be held in the second half of this month in all six main regions. The main event will take place at Arena Birmingham in Birmingham, United Kingdom on May 23-27. The prize pool of the competition is set at $1,000,000.
