Evil Geniuses Acquire Huni from Dignitas
22-years-old Korean top laner Heo "Huni" Seung-hoon, who lately has been playing for Dignitas, was acquired by another North American organization Evil Geniuses.
Huni has been part of Dignitas for the last six months. With them he placed 7th in the spring split of LCS 2020. Earlier he also played for Clutch Gaming, Echo Fox, SK Telecom T1 and others.
Assuming that Huni will replace Colin "Kumo" Zhao, whose contract with the organization is expected to end this November, he will become the third import player in the roster alongside their midlaner Daniele "Jiizuke" di Maurowhile from Italy and the team’s Korean botlaner Bae "Bang" Jun-sik. According to the LCS rules, a team is allowed to play with up to two foreign players.
Last September Evil Geniuses returned to the League of Legends scene by acquiring the Echo Fox LCS slot, and completed their roster in late 2020. In the LCS spring split they managed to finish 3rd, losing to FlyQuest (1-3) in the lower bracket’s finals.
