The Danish esports organization Heroic has confirmed that their transfer deal with FunPlus Phoenix was cancelled, meaning that their CS:GO roster will remain in the organization. Additionally, Heroic benched two players – Patrick "es3tag" Hansen and Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer. The new members of the team are expected to be announced this week.

Snappi has been playing for Heroic since 2016, while es3tag joined the roster in 2017. Together with the team they won TOYOTA Master CS:GO Bangkok 2018, Games Clash Masters 2018 and DreamHack Open Atlanta 2019. This year they also emerged victorious at GG.Bet inter Cup and placed 3rd-4th at DreamHack Open Leipzig 2020.

Earlier Heroic agreed to sell their CS:GO roster to the Chinese organization FunPlus Phoenix. However, a week later Astralis announced that they were going to add es3tag to their roster as a sixth player. The upcoming transfer of es3tag is the most probable reason behind the cancelation of the deal between Heroic and FunPlus Phoenix.
