The $400,000 StarCraft II event IEM Season XIII – Katowice has completed. In the grand finals Eo "soO" Yoon Soo defeated Kim "Stats" Dae Yeob with the 4-2 score.
The event took place on February 25th – March 3rd in Katowice, Poland. During the group stage 24 players competed in four round-robin groups with best-of-three series. Then the players placed first in their groups advanced directly to the quarterfinals, while those players who placed second and third made it to the round of 12. The playoffs stage featured a single-elimination bracket with regular matches being best-of-five and grand-finals being best-of-seven.
