OMEGA League to Feature a $40,000 Asian Division

The organizers of OMEGA League have announced that in addition to the European and American divisions, the event will also feature an Asian division that will combine the teams from Southeast Asia and China. The prize pool of the division is set at $40,000.

The organizers have already invited eight teams, among which are Ocean, Blaze, EHOME.Immortal, Aster.Aries, Neon Esports, Reality Rift, Team Adroit and Cignal Ultra. The final four teams will make it through the qualifiers – two from China and two from Southeast Asia.

The event will begin on August 1st with a group stage, where the participants will compete in two regional groups with round-robin system and best-of-three series. Top two teams from each group will advance to the upper bracket, while the teams placed 3rd will advance to the lower bracket. The teams finished 4th-5th in the groups will compete in the play-in stage for the last two tickets to the lower bracket. The playoffs stage will be played between August 12th – 22nd, where the grand finals will be best-of-five, and the rest of the series will be best-of-three.

OMEGA League is organized by WePlay! Esports and Epic Esports Events. The event was announced last week – the European region will have two divisions with a total prize pool of $550,000.
