PUBG Update 7.2 to Introduce Ranked Mode
PUBG Update 7.2 to Introduce Ranked Mode
PUBG Corp. have updated the test servers of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds to version 7.2. The update introduced a long-awaited ranked system, adjusted weapon balance and more. Below are the most notable changes of the update.
- Ranked System will replace Survival Title system. The ranked points can be earned only by participating in special ranked game mode. The number of awarded points is calculated based on kills, assists and personal placement. There are six tiers (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master) with 5 divisions (V – I) within each tear. The players will receive unique rewards at the end of each season depending on their highest ranking.
- The new ranked game mode is available in both FPP and TPP, as well as for 1/2/3 man squads. The ranked games will be played with special set of rules, which implies a maximum of 64 players per match, increased item loot spawns, adjusted Blue Zone, and removed Red Zone. Besides that, the ranked games will be played only on Erangel, Miramar and Sanhok.
- Weapon and Armor Balance:
- Assault Rifles: M416 nerfed by decreasing base damage and muzzle velocity, while M16A4, MK47 Mutant and Beryl M762 buffed by decreasing recoil. Increased reload times for M416, M16A4 and SCAR-L.
- Shotguns: increased damage multiplier and hip-fire accuracy, decreased damage drop over distance.
- Armor: vests will no longer disappear when destroyed and will continue to provide inventory slots and 20% protection and slight aim punch reduction. The base protection level of the destroyed vest is the same no matter the type of vest you’re wearing.
- Gas Cans can now be used to pour gas on the group, which can be set on fire with gun shots, molotovs, and grenade explosions. The fire deals the same damage as Molotov and burns for 20 seconds. Gas Can explosion now deals only 40 damage max, however also sets the nearby area on fire.
- Normal matches now can have bots in them, especially for players in lower skill brackets or newer players. Bots cannot join ranked games or be on your team.
Besides that, the update introduces a number of other changes, including UI improvements and multiple bug fixes. Full list of changes is available on the official website.
