Steel of Chaos EC Retires from CS:GO in favour of VALORANT
Chaos Esports Club have announced that Joshua "steel" Nissan is going to retire from competitive Counter-Strike. The 30-years-old Canadian will remain in the organization to stream VALORANT full-time.
Steel has been competing since 2010. During the CS:GO days, he played for Torqued, Team Dignitas and iBUYPOWER. In 2014 he was accused in matchfixing and indefinitely banned from Valve sponsored events. The player joined Chaos EC last November – with the recent addition of Erik "Xeppaa" Bach and Nathan "leaf" Orf the team managed to step up their game, winning multiple tier-2/3 events and climbing to the 4th place in the North American rating.
Chaos EC will announce their updated roster in the nearest future – tonight the team is supposed to start competing at ESL Pro League Season 12 NA. Their first match against Team Liquid is scheduled for 8:00 PM UK Time.
