Groups for FLASHPOINT Season 1 Revealed
The organizers of FLASHPOINT Season 1 have conducted the group selection process for the first phase of the tournament, forming three groups of four teams. First, the organizers seeded top three rated teams – MAD Lions, FunPlus Phoenix (ex-Heroic) and Gen.G – into different groups, and then their captains helped to seed the other teams. As a result, the groups look as follows:

The teams will compete with the double-elimination format and best-of-three series, receiving points for their placements – 75 for 1st place, 50 for 2nd place, 30 for 3rd place and 15 for 4th place. The first series are following:
Group A:
- MAD Lions vs HAVU Gaming
- Copenhagen Flames vs c0ntact Gaming
Group B:
- Gen.G vs Team Envy
- Chaos EC vs MIBR
Group C:
- Orgless vs Dignitas
- FunPlus Phoenix vs Cloud9
After the first phase, the organizers will redo the same seeding process for the second group stage. The participants of the final playoffs stage will be determined based on the acquired points during both of the group stages.
FLASHPOINT Season 1 is being held on March 13th – April 19th at FACEIT Studio in Los Angeles, USA. The tournament’s prize pool is set at $1,000,000.
